Here you will find an overview of the answers to frequently asked questions about your appointment at EXPERTS FIRST.

Basically, you can travel either by car or by train. Please note the following information depending on the means of transport:

Travelling by car from the south, via the A5:
Please take the “Heidelberg / Schwetzingen” exit, and you will find our practice just as you enter the city.

Travelling by car from the north, via the A5:
Please take the “Heidelberg” exit, follow the signs for the main train station and from there in the direction of Schwetzingen. Our practice is located just as you are leaving the city.

Travel by train:
The practice is a ten-minute walk from the main train station in Heidelberg. Tram lines 21, 22, 24 and bus line 32 stop in close proximity to the practice.

In front of our clinic building along Rudolf-Diesel-Straße you will find several parking bays where you can park your car free of charge. You will also find several parking spaces at the B&B hotel opposite. The B&B hotel is just a minute’s walk from the practice and is therefore an easy alternative to parking.

You also have the option of parking in the hip P20 car park, which is a seven-minute walk away.

Please note that parking in the area can be challenging. There are limited parking spaces and we cannot guarantee that you will find a free parking space on site or in the immediate vicinity.

We therefore recommend that you allow sufficient time for your journey and, if necessary, use alternative parking options in the area or public transport.

We offer an underground parking space directly in our building for all wheelchair users. You can then reach us barrier-free using the elevator.

We are basically a private practice and not a statutory health insurance doctor’s practice, meaning that neither our doctors nor our practice have contracts with statutory health insurance companies. However, you can make use of our outpatient services at any time on a self-paying patient basis. The costs are usually reasonable – we would be pleased to advise you about this in advance by telephone, of course. For numerous operations, we also collaborate with hospitals that offer billing with statutory health insurance companies.

We have state-of-the-art operating theatres with high-end equipment in our Centre of Excellence. The majority of foot surgery treatment takes place in the Bahnstadt OP Centre, which is exactly one floor above our practice. The patient rooms are also located on the upper floors of our new building. So you can enjoy the brief inpatient stay in the immediate vicinity of your personal surgeon – and with a fantastic view over the beautiful city of Heidelberg.

For extensive operations, patients with previous internal medical conditions or for operating on children, we cooperate with neighbouring hospitals with appropriate specializations. Of course, the choice is always made in the interest of maximum safety and for the benefit of our patients – which goes without saying as far as we are concerned.

Yes, we also treat children and adolescents. Dr. med. Wolfram Wenz

Yes – we have an underground parking space directly in our building for all wheelchair users. You can then reach us barrier-free with the elevator. Of course, the treatment rooms and toilets within the practice are also barrier-free.

Yes, patients are welcome to submit their questions and findings and then discuss them with us online. Of course, we check the information in advance and decide whether a consultation without a personal introduction / examination is possible with sufficient certainty.
